On the fourth day of June, 1887, Noah Arnold, George Arnold and Jesse Arnold came together at the residence o f Noah Arnold near Jaysville, Darke county, Ohio. Jesse Arnold acting as secretary of the occasion.
SECTION I.
The purpose of this meeting was to secure and preserve the material for a family history of Moses Arnold to include the ancestral history and that of his children, mentioning his children and grandchildren.
SECTION II.
In pursuance to the purpose of this meeting Noah Arnold was chosen President and John Chambers and George Arnold were chosen Vice-Presidents.
SECTION III.
The President, with the approval of the Vice Presidents, is empowered to select an Historian to arrange, compile and record the material supplied so as to form a history as purposed by this Association.
SECTION IV.
The annual meeting shall be held at such time and place as the President or two Vice-Presidents may designate by call.
SECTION V.
Descendants of Moses Arnold of any degree may become members of this association by signing their names to these articles in a book to be prepared by the President of the Association.
SECTION VI.
The name of this Association shall be the "Arnold Historical and Genealogical Association", to which the names of those present are hereto affixed this 10th day of June, 1887.

ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION
On the tenth day of June, 1887, Noah Arnold, George Arnold and Jesse Arnold, met at the residence of Noah Arnold near Jaysville, Darke county, Ohio.
SECTION I.
The purpose of the meeting was to make and preserve the family records of William Arnold and perfect the same where omission and mutilation has occurred.
SECTION II.
In furtherance of this purpose Noah Arnold was chosen to secure a good and substantial book in which to record the birth, marriage, settlement and death of William Arnold, who was the son of Moses Arnold, and of the children of William Arnold, mentioning the names of grand-children.
