The following is legal agreement between Camantha Cotton and Lester L. Cotton

This agreement made the first day of April one thousand eight hundred and fifty four between Camantha Cotton in the Town of Alden Erie County of the first part and Lester L. Cotton of the town of Darien County of Genesee of the second part witnesseth that the said Lester L. Cotton agrees that he will carry on in a farmer like manner or cause it to be done all that piece or parcel of land situated in the town of Alden County of Erie belonging to the said Camantha Cotton of fifty acres known as the south fifty acres on lot No. 21 on which there is a log house and frame barn for the sum of five dollars good lawful money of the united states paid by the party of the second part to the said Camantha Cotton she agrees to sign off all right tithe and interest in the produce of the above mentioned farm of fifty acres in the town of Alden for the ensuing year commencing April the first one thousand eight hundred fifty four ending April the first one thousand eight hundred and fifty five and if the said Lester L. Cotton ocupies the said farm above mentioned longer than one year and not two years he shall Deliver to the said Camantha Cotton one half the winter grain growing on the said farm in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty four and the said Camantha Cotton agrees to pay the said Lester L. Cotton for one half the winter seed grain sowed if the said Lester L. Cotton ocupies the above farm two years he is to pay the said Camantha Cotton the sum of thirty five dollars per year with the privelage of the said farm five years by paying the above sum yearly the said Camantha Cotton agrees that the said Lester L. Cotton may have twenty five cords of wood over and above the wood made use of by his own fire

Whereunto the parties have set their signs in witness of

also the said Lester L. Cotton agrees to work or cause it to be done in a workman like stile all that lot of land of fifty acres on shares and furnish one 1/2 the seed grain on lot No. 21 known as the north fifty acres and the said Camantha Cotton agrees to furnish one half the seed grain and give the said L.L. Cotton possession of the said farm the said L.L. Cotton agrees to deliver the grain threshed in the barn on said farm the straw to be left on the farm. If the said L.L. Cotton sees fit to pick up and draw off stone the said Camantha Cotton gives him full liberty the said Camantha Cotton agrees to let to L. L. Cotton a certain piece of grass of seven acres on lot No. 14 known as the orchard lot L.L. Cotton agrees to put one half in her barn and keep the other half
