"Left Colchester in 1757 and settled at New Minas, Nova Scotia (now Sunnyside, Port Williams Station) on land granted settlers by the government when the Acadians were expelled. He had a brother Daniel, who had a grant at Grand Pre, but left it and returned to Colchester. David d. New Minas, 1784. His widow Frances afterward returned to Colchester with her sons David and Asa."
