STATE OF INDIANA, COUNTY OF RANDOLPH:-SS:

In the Matter of Lavina Mullen, widow of Alfred Focht, late a private in Company F of the 131st Reg't of Ohio Infantry Vols., for Widow's Old Law.

On this the 27 day of August, A.D. 1906, personally appeared before me, Notary Public in and for the aforesaid county, duly authorized to administer oaths, Calvin B. Edwards, aged 67 years, resident of Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana, whose post office address is Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana, and Fernandis B. Mullin, aged 50 years, resident of Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana, whose post office address is Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana, and well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declared in relation to aforesaid case as follows:

That we were acquainted with Curtis Mullen in his life time and we well know that the said Curtis Mullen was united in marriage with Lavina Focht in Preble County, State of Ohio.

The said Curtis Mullen after said marriage became a resident of Union County, State of Indiana, and while a resident of Union County, Indiana, said Curtis Mullen died and was buried in Union County, Indiana.

That from our best rememberance, the same being refreshed by the records the said Curtis Mullen and Lavina Focht were married on or about December 9th, 1882; and that the said Curtis Mullen died in said Union County, on or about February 9th, 1895.

And affiants further declare that they nor neither of them have any interest in said case nor are they concerned in its prosecution.

Sworn to and subscribed before me this 27th day of August, 1906, by the above named affiants, and I certify that I read said affidavit to said affiants, including all the words erased and all the words added, and acquainted them with its contents before they executed the same. I further certify that I am in no wise interested in said case, nor am I concerned in its prosecution; and that said affiants are personally known to me and that they are credible persons.
